Trappers Furbearer Management Short Course

Fur Takers of America Trapper Education Program covered management
and life histories of furbearing wildlife; humane and skillful use of traps,
snares, calls, and firearms; handling catches humanely and efficiently to
produce quality pelts; principles of wildlife product marketing; manufacture
of baits/lures and their use; ethics of trapping, including laws, respect for
property, rights of others, and methods of teaching others about trapping
heritage.
